Interview with Aurora Silver

Are you a big Metallic Gear Solid fan? Which is your favourite game?

Yes, I am a big Metallic Gear fan! The Metal Gear insanity began almost ii years agone, when I got to know Raiden as "cameo appearance" in Playstation Allstars Battle Royale. So, I know Metal Gear not every bit long as maybe any other fans out there, just ever since that run across, I started to beloved Raiden most – though I did know Solid Ophidian from his cameo in Super Smash Bros. Brawl besides, I just never played Metallic Gear before, considering a friend told me what'southward gonna happen at the end of Metallic Gear Solid 4. I was too shocked because of this, and never dared to bear upon Metal Gear – until Mr. Lightningbolt appeared. Metallic Gear Rise was and then my first Metal Gear – and I think, it is my most favourite game so far, even if I love every Metal Gear game I played and Ascension is but a spin-off. But my passion for Raiden is merely also huge. Yes, Raiden here, Raiden there – my Alltime Number One! Beginning I played Rising, then I played MGS2, so MGS4, so MGS3… then MGS GZ and I'm nonetheless stuck with Peace Walker – so you lot see, it's a pocket-sized mess x)

How long take you lot been making artwork for – did you study it at school/college?

I didn't written report making fine art and our school barely gave us the run a risk to draw, either. All we had was theory stuff…
Drawing has always been a hobby and a fashion to express myself. I can bring my stories to life, thanks to my art, and this is what I savor most. The feelings, the story behind the picture… it'due south always heady to run into the progress and view the finished piece. And if I tin can bear on the people'due south middle with my art, then it's making me even more happy. Ever since I was a kid, I loved making fine art – most of them surely didn't expect perfect, and most of them probably withal don't look perfect. But perfection is not what I am aiming for.

Beginning I only did pencil and color pencil pictures, probably nearly fifteen years ago. Just of course, I had to learn a lot, the anatomy was never good and the colourings weren't practiced, either – but despite of this, the drawing could always tell a story. I started switching from pencil to digital art almost 8 years ago. Of course it wasn't easy and I was e'er blinded past my pride, that I didn't see the obvious flaws. But over the years, I learned as well. If I wait back at the fine art I created years ago, I ever have to express joy about what I did x)

Do you have any advise for people who'd similar to draw like you?

Advices from me… Offset off, you really need patience. I, for example, am still not patient, either. Simply I am as well a fast learner (and I forget fast, as well…), Whatever you lot sketch, whatever you draw with your own easily – BE PROUD of your creation. Information technology is not wrong to be proud, simply don't allow it blind you. Too, making mistakes is function of the learning progress. Nobody is born as a master – call back this. Kickoff little, don't overburden yourself. Use references for man anatomy, and if you must, even trace works and photos – but but do so for the purpose of learning! If you trace, you tin also discover a feeling for the shape and the anatomy, and from this feel, yous can build your ain way. But ever remember, information technology won't happen from ane day to another. You lot need patience and time to let your talent abound.

Don't be too frustrated if things go wrong. I know it's hard, but information technology's as well function of learning. Don't hesitate to ask other artists for communication – don't exist shy, always dream large. Don't feel jealous – if you see an creative person that is improve than you, take information technology as inspiration to get better likewise, but don't rush things. The near important thing about art, is to enjoy it. The priority is, that the artist has to like the piece he / she created, and not the public. Public is second-rate.
Also, you lot need to learn to accept critiques. Critiques are oft hard to eat considering the people writing them are not soft with their wording, merely critiques really assist pointing out flaws. Nobody forces you lot to change these flaws instantly – information technology won't work. Accept the critique, attempt to make it better. Never surrender!
